DECEMBER

 

12/28/09  Engine 16, Quint and Midi 6, Truck 2, Engine 10(R.I.C.), Rescue 11, Car 99, Battalion 1, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded for a house fire at 1322 North Clinton Ave. Engine 16 was on location reporting a working fire. The fire was under control in about 15 minutes and the Red Cross is assisting with 3 adults. For audio, click here.

12/25/09  Quint and Midi 6, Engine 16, Engine 17, Engine 10(R.I.C.), Rescue 11, Battalion 1, Car 99, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded for a vacant house fire at 46 Avenue C. Engine 16 was on location with smoke showing from the front of a 1 1/2 story structure. Truck 2 was special called as an extra unit and the fire was under control in about 20 minutes. 12/20/09  Engine 16, Quint and Midi 6, Engine 10(R.I.C.), Engine 17, Rescue 11, Car 99, Battalion 1, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded for smoke from the second floor at 42 Avenue C. Midi 6 was on location with smoke from a 2 1/2 story wood frame dwelling. The fire was under control in about 20 minutes. While on scene, smoke was seen coming from a garage at 112 Avenue B. Crews from Engine 17 and Engine 10 handled the small fire with the Deputy Chief. For audio, click here. 

 

 

 

12/20/09  Engine 16, Quint and Midi 6, Engine 10, Truck 2(R.I.C.), Rescue 11, Car 99, Battalion 1, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded to 54 Avenue D for a reported room on fire. Car 91(F.I.) was on location with nothing showing, then further reported smoke on the third floor. The fire was under control within a few minutes. For audio, click here. 

 

 

 

12/18/09   Engine 16, Quint and Midi 7, Engine 10(R.I.C.), Truck 2, Rescue 11, Battalion 1, Car 99, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded to 84 LaFrois St  for a reported kitchen fire. Engine 16 was on location with nothing showing at first, but then declared a working fire. Quint and Midi 7 took over as the R.I.C. as Engine 10 stretched a back up line. 12/15/09    CERT Team Members from Maplewood/Charlotte Participate in Monroe County Mass Vaccination Program

 
      On Thursday, November 19 and Saturday, November 21 at 801 West Avenue, CERT Team members assisted with the Monroe County Mass Vaccination Program.  Monroe County Department of Public Health was the lead agency for this assignment. CERT members made up an integral part of the H1N1 clinics. There have been glowing reports from the Monroe County Health Department regarding the CERT Teams performance. The actions of all of Rochester's CERT teams led to (literally) thousands of people being protected. Congratulations to all those CERT Team Members who participated and a Job Well Done! 12/12/09  The members of Engine 10, Truck 2 & "F.I." would like to wish everyone a very happy, healthy and safe holiday season. 

 

 

 

12/10/09  Quint and Midi 6, Engine 17, Truck 2, Engine 10(R.I.C.), Rescue 11, Car 99, Battalion 1, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded to 200 Weaver St for a reported structure fire. Midi 6 was on location with smoke from the second story of a 2 story frame. Battalion 1 declared a working fire and it was under control in 20 minutes. For audio, click here. 

 

 

 

12/09/09  Truck 3 responded to 1400 South Plymouth Av, Plymouth Garden apartments for an automatic alarm. While en route, the assignment was upgraded for a report of smoke, bringing Engine 1 and Battalion 3. Truck 3 was on location with nothing showing from the high rise, but asked for the full assignment due to heavy smoke on the fourth floor. Engine 10, Truck 2(R.I.C.) and the Deputy Chief responded. Battalion 3 then requested a second alarm, bringing Engine 8 and Engine 17. Quint and Midi 7 and Engine 13 responded as the high rise team. The fire was under control in just over a half hour. 12/07/09  Quint and Midi 5 responded for an automatic alarm at 460 Buffalo Rd. While en route, the assignment was upgraded for a report of a fire in the machinery, bringing Engine 3, Engine 13, Engine 5(R.I.C.), Rescue 11, Car 99, Battalion 3, The Deputy Chief and Protectives. Command then declared a level 0 "haz-mat" bringing Engine 17 with Haz-Mat 1 and 2, along with Engine 7. All units were advised to be on SCBA while in the structure due to the nature of the product involved. A second alarm was called for bringing Engine 1 and Truck 3, and Engine 10 and Truck 10 were special called. The Red Cross was called to assist with rehab and the fire was under control in 2 hours.  

 

 

 

12/07/09  Engine 10(R.I.C.), Truck 2, Engine 3, Engine 5, Rescue 11, Battalion 2 and Car 99 responded for a garage fire at 20 Merlin St. Engine 3 was on location with smoke from a garage and the fire was under control in 14 minutes.  

 

 

 

12/01/09  Engine 10, Truck 2, Battalion 2 and The Deputy Chief responded EMS to the Pierpont building on Driving Park Ave for the report of 2 RPD officers possibly shot. The Protectives were also called to assist with lighting. For details, click here.

 

 

 

 

12/01/09  Quint and Midi 6 responded to 12 Bloomingdale St for a car fire. While en route, the assignment was upgraded with multiple calls reporting a car fire between 2 houses. This added Engine 16, Engine 17, Truck 2(R.I.C.), Rescue 11, Battalion 1, Car 99, The Deputy Chief and Protectives. Quint 6 was on location with a car fire and exposure to the houses. 12/01/09  Engine 10, Truck 2, Engine 3, Engine 5(R.I.C.), Rescue 11, Car 99, Battalion 2, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded for a vacant house fire at 154 Selye Terrace.  Engine 10 was on location with smoke from the C side. Battalion 2 special called Quint and Midi 6 as an extra truck company. He also requested an extra company to stage at Dewey and Selye, bringing Engine 13. Car 99 advised companies to use caution due to holes in the floors. The fire was under control in about 25 minutes. For audio, click here. 

 

 

 

NOVEMBER

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

11/29/09  Quint and Midi 1, Engine 10, Quint and Midi 6, Truck 2(R.I.C.), Rescue 11, Car 99, Battalion 1, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded for an apartment fire at 94 Snug Harbor Court. Quint and Midi 1 were on location with nothing showing, but then reported a working fire. The fire was under control in about 15 minutes and the Red Cross is assisting 1 adult and 1 child. Engine 10 and Truck 2 responded directly from the earlier fire on Driving Park Ave. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

11/29/09  Engine 10, Truck 2, Engine 5, Engine 3(R.I.C.), Rescue 11, Car 99, Battalion 2, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded this morning for a house fire at 265 Driving Park Ave. Engine 5 was on location with light smoke showing from a 2 1/2. Truck 2 took command & started ventilation. Battalion 2 assumed command on arrival and reported a kitchen fire with extension into the second floor. Truck 10 was special called to assist. The fire was under control in 16 minutes and the cause is under investigation. 

 

 

 

 

 

11/29/09  Engine 16, Quint and Midi 6, Engine 10, Engine 17(R.I.C.), Rescue 11, Battalion 1, Car 99, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded to 71 Avenue C for a garage fire with a vehicle inside. Engine 16 was on location with a garage fully involved and 3 cars burning. RG&E was requested to de-energize live wires, and the fire was under control in about 30 minutes. 11/27/09  Engine 16, Quint and Midi 6, Engine 10(R.I.C.), Engine 17, Rescue 11, Battalion 1, Car 99, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded for a garage fire at 55 Avenue C. Engine 16 was on location reporting a garage fully involved with an exposure problem to a house. Quint 6 reported a problem with live power lines and crews to keep a distance until they could be cut by RG&E. The fire was contained to the garage & under control in 20 minutes. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

11/23/09  Engine 16, Quint and Midi 6, Engine 10, Truck 10(R.I.C.), Rescue 11, Battalion 3, Car 99, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded for a fire in the Family Dollar Store at 1731 North Clinton Ave. Engine 16 was on location with nothing showing, and Quint 6 reported smoke from the roof. Engine 10 established a second water supply & took command as Quint 6 requested a second alarm, bringing Engines 13 and 17, along with Truck 4. Battalion 3 assumed command on arrival. As conditions inside deteriorated, Battalion 3 ordered crews out of the building for an exterior attack and requested a third alarm, bringing Quint and Midi 1, and Engines 3 and 5. A 50 foot safety zone was established around the structure in case of collapse. Car 1(The Fire Chief) requested a fourth alarm, bringing Engines 1 and 8, and Truck 2. Car 1 also special called aerial platforms from the county to assist, bringing companies from St. Paul FD, Ridge Culver FD and Brighton FD. Eventually, all but 2 city companies & several county companies were on scene. Many county companies were also called to fill in at the city firehouses. The fire was under control in approximately 5 1/2 hours and there were 2 minor injuries reported to firefighters. 11/14/09  Quint and Midi 6, Engine 16 and Battalion 1 responded for smoke from a refrigerator at 4 Bloomingdale St. On arrival, Engine 16 reported a working fire & requested the rest of the assignment. Truck 2(R.I.C.), Engine 17, Rescue 11, Car 99, The Deputy Chief, and Protectives then responded. The fire was under control in about 30 minutes and the Red Cross is assisting 2 adults & 1 child.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

11/03/09  Engine 10, Truck 2, Engine 5, Quint and Midi 6(R.I.C.), Rescue 11, Car 99, Battalion 2, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded to 310 Driving Park Ave for a reported house fire. Car 91 was on location & reported light smoke from the second floor & a possible mattress fire. Engine 10 stretched a line to the second floor & Truck 2 handled ventilation. 11/02/09  On October 19th N.I.M.R.O.D. (Neighbors In Motion Rooting Out Drugs) celebrated its 17th anniversary. This celebration was held at the United Methodist Church at 121 Driving Park Ave. The President and Founder, Virginia Sawdey, was on hand with the Honorable Mayor Robert Duffy to mark the occasion.  11/01/09  Engine 10, Truck 2(R.I.C.), Engine 16, Quint and Midi 6, Engine 17, Rescue 11, Car 99, Battalion 1, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded for a house fire at 78 Harris St. The fire was under control in about 20 minutes & there were no injuries. 

 

 

 

OCTOBER

 

 

 

10/31/09  Engine 10(R.I.C.), Engine 5, Engine 13, Truck 10, Battalion 2, Car 99, Rescue 11, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded for an attic fire on Sherman St. The fire was under control quickly & there were no injuries. 

 

 

 

 

 

10/23/09  As of 08:00 hours this morning, Engine 10 is now carrying the Hurst  Tool and extrication equipment. The "About Us" page has been updated.

 

 

 

 

 

 

10/22/09  Engine 5, Engine 3, Truck 10, Engine 13(R.I.C.), Battalion 2, Car 99, Rescue 11, The Deputy Chief & Protectives responded for a structure fire at 512 Lyell Av. Engine 5 was on location with heavy fire in the rear. Battalion 2 requested Engine 7 to respond to replace Engine 13 as the R.I.C. and then requested a "second alarm," bringing Engines 10 and 17, and Quint and Midi 5. 10/21/09  Engine 10, Truck 2, Engine 3, Quint and Midi 6(R.I.C.), Battalion 2, Rescue 11, Car 99, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded to 259 Clay Av for a kitchen fire. Engine 10 was on location confirming a kitchen fire & it was under control in 15 minutes.

 

 

 

 

 

10/18/09  Engine 10, Truck 2, Engine 5, Rescue 11, Quint and Midi 6(R.I.C.), Car 99, Battalion 2, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded this evening to a basement fire at 166 Lark St. Engine 10 was on location with nothing showing, but then reported a basement fire. 10/17/09  Engine 16, Quint and Midi 6, Engine 17(R.I.C.), Truck 2, Rescue 11, Battalion 1, Car 99, The Deputy Chief, The Protectives, & Truck 10(extra truck) responded for a vacant house fire on Oscar St. Engine 16 was on location with a working fire on the first floor. 10/14/09 Engine 10, Truck 2, Engine 3, Engine 5(R.I.C.), Battalion 2, Rescue 11, Car 99, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded for a house fire this morning on Driving Park Av. While responding, the assignment was upgraded for numerous calls reporting a fire and Engine 10 reporting a header in the sky. Engine 10 went on location with smoke from the second floor of a 2 1/2. Engine 5 took command and reported fire on the first and second floor. Command further reported a basement fire with extension to all floors. Quint and Midi 6 were special called as an extra truck, and Engine 13 was special called to stage. The fire was under control in about 23 minutes and the cause is under investigation. SEPTEMBER

 

 

09/30/09  Truck 2(R.I.C.), Engine 5, Engine 3, Truck 10, Battalion 2, Rescue 11, Car 99, The Deputy Chief and the Protectives responded just before 3 A.M. for a reported kitchen fire at 73 Karnes St. Engine 5 was on location with smoke showing and people waiting out front. Battalion 2 remained in command and the fire was under control in 13 minutes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

09/28/09  The members of Dewey and Ridgeway would like to welcome Lieutenant Scott Daly to Engine 10 Group 2.

 

 

 

09/20/09  Engine 10, Truck 2, Quint and Midi 1, Quint and Midi 6, Engine 16(R.I.C.), Battalion 1, Car 99, The Deputy Chief and The Protectives responded for a reported fire on the 14th floor of the Lakeview Manor Apartments at 4575 Lake Av. Quint 1 was on location with smoke showing from the 14th floor & also reported someone possibly still in the apartment. The "High Rise" team(Engine 13, Quint and Midi 7) responded & a second alarm was requested bringing Engine 3 & Quint and Midi 9. 09/19/09 The Dewey and Ridgeway Firehouse held their 1st. Annual Firehouse Clam Bake yesterday at the St.Paul Fire Exempt's Club. Lots of Family, friends, fun and clams had by all that attended. Special thanks to Doug Platt for organizing the event. Click here to see photos.

Engine 3 was on location with heavy fire & smoke from the rear of the the structure. Engine 10 established command until Battalion 2's arrival & the fire was under control in about 20 minutes. 09/08/09  At the same time as Truck 2's fire below, Quint and Midi 9, Engine 5, Engine 13, Quint and Midi 4(R.I.C.), Battalion 2, Quint 3(in place of the rescue), and Engine 10(extra unit) responded for a structure fire at 795 Joseph Ave. Engine 5 reported a basement fire & The Deputy Chief responded when clear of the Avenue D fire. 08-30-09 Attention all Dewey Ave & Ridgeway Ave Firehouse members and Alumni. The firehouse is having a first annual Firehouse Clambake. It will be held Saturday September 19th,at the St, Paul Blvd Fire Exempts: 690 THOMAS AVE ROCHESTER, NY  14617. The Clambake will stating at 1pm until?. 08-24-09 Two Buffalo N.Y. firefighters died in the line of duty early this morning. One firefighter searching for a person reported to be trapped and the other firefighter responding to a mayday call. They plunged through the collapsed first floor of a burning building into the basement. The members of Engine 10,Truck 2 and F.I. unit would like express our condolences to the families of Lieutenant Charles "Chip" McCarthy of Rescue 1, and FF Jonathan Croom of Ladder 7. 08-22-09 Engine 10, Truck 2, Engine 5, Engine 3 (RIC), Rescue 11, Battalion 2 responded for a house fire early this morning on Rainier St. While responding, the assignment was upgraded for multiple calls reporting a house fire. The Deputy Chief and the Protectives were then dispatched to the scene. Command reported heavy fire on all floors of a 2 1/2. Truck 10 was special called for use of their platform. The fire was under control in about an hour. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and one firefighter had minor injuries.

 

 

 

 

08-18-09 Quint & Midi 6, Engine 16, Engine 10, Battalion 1, Rescue 11, and Engine 17 (as the RIC) responded to a reported fire in a store front at the Red Wing Plaza on North Clinton Ave. Quint & Midi 6 went on location with a "Working Fire".  The Deputy Chief and Protectives were then dispatched to the scene. The fire was under control in about 15 minutes. Due to the size and contents of the building, companies were on location for an extended period of time to overhaul and ventilate a large volume of smoke.

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

08-11-09 Engine 10, Truck 2, Quint and Midi 6, Engine 3(RIC), Rescue 11, Battalion 1, The Deputy Chief and Protectives responded for a house fire on Bardin St. Engine 10 & Truck 2 went on location with nothing showing, but further reported a kitchen fire on the first floor. 08-06-09 Engine 10, Truck 2, Quint & Midi 6, Engine 16, Battalion 1, Rescue 11, Deputy Chief, Protectives, and Engine 3 (as the RIC) responded to a house fire with children trapped on Bardin Street around 11:45 p.m., after multiple calls for a house fire. Firefighters say when they arrived on scene, they saw thick smoke and flames coming from a second floor apartment of a two family home. No one was trapped and the fire was under control in 30 min. 07-31-09 Engine 16, Quint & Midi 6, Engine 10 Rescue 11, Battalion 1 Protectives , Deputy Chief, and Truck 2 (as the RIC)responded for a house fire early this morning on Lang St. Midi 6 was on location with a working fire in a 1 1/2. 07-26-09   Engine 16, Quint & Midi 7,Quint & Midi 6, Engine 17, Battalion 1, Rescue 11, Protectives, Deputy Chief, and Engine 10 (as the RIC) responded this afternoon for black smoke in the house on Lux St. While responding, the assignment was upgrade to a house fire with the report of people trapped. Quint 7 was on location with smoke and flames from a 2 1/2. Battalion 1 went on location and reported a working fire in a 2 1/2. Engine 17 responded as the RIC but was put to work, so command special called Engine 10 to be the RIC. The fire was under control in about 21 min and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

 

 

 

07-21-09 Engine 10, Truck 2, Quint and Midi 6, Rescue 11, Battalion 1, Protectives, Deputy Chief, Quint Midi 1 (as the RIC)responded to an electrical fire in the wall at 51 Morville Dr. Truck 2 went on location nothing showing, then updated that they had heavy smoke and fire from a wall. 07-15-09  Engine 16, Quint & Midi 6, Truck 10, Rescue 11, Engine10 as the "R.I.C." & Battalion 2, responded for a house fire early this morning on Ave D. 07-8-09   Engine 16, Quint / Midi 6, Engine 17, Quint / Midi 7, Rescue 11, Battalion 1 and Engine 10 as the "R.I.C.", for a house fire early this morning on Laser St. Engine 16 went on location with nothing showing from a vacant. Quint 6 reported a small fire on the porch. While firefighters were operating, they noticed smoke in the area. After a quick investigation, they noticed another house fire on Joseph Place. Battalion 1 reported a working fire in another vacant structure. Truck 10 responded as the RIC and the cause of the fires are under investigation.To learn more click here.

06-28-09   Engine 10, Engine 3, Truck 2, Quint / Midi 6,  Rescue 11, and Battalion 2 responded for the report of a house fire with people trapped early this morning on Electric Ave. Truck 2 was on location with heavy smoke from the rear of a 2 1/2. Command reported that everybody was out of the house. Engine 5 responded as the RIC and Rural Metro responded for a civilian with smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation. 06-26-09 During a severe thunderstorm, Engine 5, Engine 3, Truck 10, Rescue 11, and Battalion 2 reported smoke in the attic. Once Engine 10, and Truck 2, cleared up from other incidents, they also responded to the call for smoke in the attic. Battalion 2 reported a working fire at 518 Lake View Park, fire began around 1:42. Firefighters first arriving on scene said they saw smoke coming from the attic.  They had the fire under control in 15 minutes.

06-12-09  Engine 5, Engine 3, Truck 2, Rescue 11, Battalion 2, and Engine 10 (as the R.I.C.) responded for a house fire this afternoon at 600 Dewey Ave. First in units reported smoke showing from a two story flat roof building. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries. 06-07-09 Engine 10 responded for a brush fire in the rear of 46 West Cheltenham Rd. They were on location confirming a brush fire and requested Truck 2 for additional man power. The fire was under control in about 20 minutes.

06-01-09 Engine 10, Truck 2, Rescue 11, and Battalion 1 responded this morning to a motor vehicle accident with person trapped and vehicle on fire at West Ridge Rd by the railroad tracks. Upon arrival Engine 10 reported a vehicle fire with the person already removed. Engine 10 handled the car fire and Truck 2 performed EMS on the victim. 05-28-09  Engine 10, Truck 2 & Battalion 1 responded to 1381 Dewey Ave. for an odor of smoke. E-10 was on location with nothing showing, but further reported a partition fire in the bathroom & requested the rest of the assignment, bringing Quint & Midi 6, Engine 3(as the R.I.C.), Rescue 11, the Deputy Chief & the Protectives.  05-27-09 At about the same time as Engine 10's car fire(see below), Truck 2 responded along with Engine 5, Quint & Midi 6, Rescue 11 & Truck 10(as the R.I.C.) for a reported fire at 1118 Lake Ave. Truck 2 was on location with light smoke showing from apartment 5, & reported people trapped. The person was removed within 4 minutes of arrival & the fire was under control in about 15 minutes. Battalion 1, the Deputy Chief and the Protectives also responded. 05-27-09 Engine 10 responded to a reported car fire at 30 Ramona Pk. about 03:05. While responding, Engine 10 got caught at the railroad crossing gates down on Ridgeway Ave. Engine 10 could see a header in the sky, so requested Engine 3 to respond from the other side, but then cleared the railroad crossing & returned Engine 3. Engine 10 went on location with a car fire. The fire was under control in 10 minutes.  

 


 


 

05-26-09 Engine 10, Truck 2, Engine 3, Rescue 11, Quint / Midi 6 as the (RIC), responded for a house fire early this morning on Ridgeway. Car 93 was on location with a garage fire. Battalion 1 reported a fire in a 12×20 one story garage. The fire was under control in about 10 min. The cause of the fire is under investigation. click here .  

 


 


 

05-23-09  Rochester Firefighters responded for a mva last night on Emerson St. While responding, the assignment was upgraded to a structure call as there were reports of a car into a house, on fire and with people trapped. Engine 5 went on location and reported a car into a tree with people trapped. Engine 5 further reported an unstable patient in the car. Truck 2 assisted with extrication. 05-17-09 Engine 10 was specially called for a report of a house fire with people trapped early Sunday morning on Morrill St., along with Engine 16, Quint / Midi 6, Engine 17, and Truck 10 as the RIC. 05-13-09  Engine 10, Truck 2, Engine 3, Engine 5 (as the RIC), Battalion 2, and Rescue 11 responded for a kitchen fire at 134 Kislingbury St.  Engine 10 was on location with smoke from the "D" side of the house.  The fire was contained to the kitchen area. Truck 2 and Engine 5 rescued a dog from the second floor of the house. The fire was under control in 10 minutes.

05-11-09 We at Dewey and Ridgeway fire house would like to take this opportunity to welcome to Truck 2 Group 4, Lieutenant Paul Kucewicz, and Engine 10 Group 3, Firefighter Paul Manard.

05-01-09   Rochester Firefighters responded last night for a house fire at 25 Braddock St... Responding units were Quint and Midi 1, Engine 10, Truck 2, Battalion 1, Rescue 11, and Quint and Midi 6 as the R.I.C. (Rapid Intervention Crew).  Quint and Midi 1 were on location with a van fire and exposures to houses on either side. The fire was under control in 17 minutes.   

 


 


 


 

05-01-09  Truck 2 responded for an automatic alarm at Aquinas High School. Truck 2 went on location with light smoke from a classroom window on the north east corner of the school. The garbage can fire was knocked down quickly, and the building was cleared of smoke.  The fire was under control in about 6 min. 04-25-09  Rochester Firefighters responded last night for an attic fire on Michigan St. Engine 5 went on location with nothing showing, but further reported smoke on the second floor. Battalion 2 reported a fire between the second floor and attic of a 2 1/2. Truck 2 responded as the RIC and the fire was under control in about 13 min. 04-25-09  Rochester Firefighters responded last night for an stove fire on Lexington Avenue. Truck 2 and Engine 10 went on location with light smoke showing, with minor damage to kitchen cabinets. Truck 2 and Engine 10 to handle with Battalion 2.

04-13-09  Truck 2, Engine 16, Rescue 11 and Battalion 2 for a MVA involving a flipped vehicle Monday evening on eastbound 104 at Hudson Ave. Truck 2 went on location with an overturned vehicle up on the grass, with both occupants having safely crawled out. Truck 2 stabilized a passenger and prepared them for transport, while members of Engine 16 and Rescue 11 disabled the other vehicle involved in the crash.

04-03-09 Engine 10 responded this morning as the extra unit for a house fire with people trapped. The house fire was on Delamaine Dr. Engine 16 was on location with nothing showing, but further reported smoke showing from the second floor B side. Battalion 1 confirmed people trapped and reported a rescue was under way. The Line Deputy took command and reported a working fire in a large two story with two people rescued from the building.
