Truck Officer or Boss
The main jobs of the officer at the fire scene are to keep track of the company and lead them into the fire. The officer is part of the Forcible Entry Team that gains access and locates the area of fire so it can be put out by the Engine Company.

• Raising and positioning the aerial ladder, and removing trapped occupants from buildings.

• Assist in raising ground ladders.

• Then assit the Ladder position upon orders from command, they makes a 4 x 4 foot ventalation hole in the roof.

Irons / Can

The Truck Irons/Can  position's main duties are:

• Getting into the building and rescuing trapped people.

• Forcing entry into the building.

• Vent the fire from the outside to create an opening for heat and smoke to escape the building.

• Uses a water extinguisher to attack the fire

Ladder/ Outside vent
Firefighters in the ladder position main duties are:

• Use aerial ladders and portable ladders to rescue trapped people out of windows.

• Gain access the fire.
